Neglected Trees

DCC aren't being proactive on their own strategy or on residents requests to take care of the trees on John Dillon Street. My elderly neighbour is visibly stressed by repeatedly being ignored when phoning the council asking them to look after the trees-she has been here since they were first planted and recalls them being cared for regularly but not now. I have reported this situation in November 2016 and still nothing. I have seen elderly people, women with buggies and those in wheelchairs struggle to navigate outside my house because of the effect on the already narrow path which is narrowed by the lift and width of the trees. John Dillon Street resembles a jungle and the redbrick look of the street is obliterated as all you see is canopy. Trees in Ross Rd. all recently cut back drastically. Please take care of these trees!
