Illegal referendum posters

Reported in the Litter and Illegal Dumping category anonymously at 21:21, Monday 16 April 2018
Sent to Cork County Council 3 minutes later

These referendum posters seem to be contravening Section 140 of the Electoral Act 1992 and Section 6 of the Referendum Act 1994. Those 2 pieces of legislation together make it illegal to print a Referendum poster without the Printer and Publisher name and address on the face of the poster.

  • Hi there, These posters are only a little over 1M high and at a junction. This is at the Frankfield hill junction with Airport Hill. Thanks! Ria O’Sullivan

  • I’d like to report illegal referendum poster which don’t have the official name or addresses of the publisher (as required under section 6 of the referendum act 1994), the printers name and address are not printed either as required under the act. It is located on Berkeley Road, near the junction of Eccles St. I wish to report it as litter and request it be removed.
