The L16301 Road (between Milltown and Ballyalbany passing through Telaydan Height, Blackwatervale and Mullaghmore East) is a small rural third class road. Traffic (including large Heavy Goods Vehicles) going between the N54 Clones Road and the N2 Omagh Road use this narrow road to bypass the town. With a posted speed of 80kph, vehicles traffic at this and in excess of are posing a series risk to pedestrian and cyclists. The route is marked as part of the Ulster Canal Greenway, to promote cycling and walking and use of smarter travel. A lower speed limit needs to be applied urgently in combination of traffic management to maintain slower vehicle speeds.
