Dangerous Referendum Posters

Reported in the Litter and Illegal Dumping category anonymously at 16:07, Sun 15 April 2018
Sent to Mayo County Council 2 minutes later

Posters erected in the area of Dunnes Stores & Swamp on Hopkins Road, Castlebar that are dangerously low and pose a hazard to pedestrians. Because of their height, it is possible for pedestrians to collide with these posters. The posters are also poorly secured, allowing them to rotate in the wind, posing a further risk of injury to pedestrians and damage to vehicles parked nearby.

In addition, some of these posters do not bear the names and address of their publishers or printers, contrary to legislation (Litter Pollution Act 1997, amended by the Electoral (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 2009 and the Referendum Act 1994)
