Stop sign ineffective in current position

Reported in the Road or path defects category anonymously at 21:55, Friday 10 May 2019
Sent to Fingal County Council 10 minutes later

The Stop sign for traffic exiting the business park at the end of Turvey Avenue is quite inconspicuous. Although the lack of conformance to the Stop sign is a policing matter, the issue could be improved by a more obvious Stop sign. The curve of the road almost induces a driver to believe that it is a Yield junction. Please consider realigning the corner to more approximate a right angle with a rounded corner rather than a wide cutaway.

  • No change, traffic still exiting side road without stopping, then looking. Many times, this results in oncoming traffic with the right of way to have to brake suddenly.
