Sent to Laois County Council 2 minutes later
The traffic light/ signal at the pedestrian crossing on Main Street/ Stucker Hill (nearest bus stop/ shelter) has been out of action for a week now. This is an extremely busy road and is very difficult to cross without the crossing in working order, especially for young children and those less able.
Two weeks have passed and still no sign of this traffic light being repaired- very unsafe for pedestrians who try to cross this busy road.
This has been repaired at last, with new push button switches fitted. A little disappointed that there is no audible "beep" or signal when you press the button- makes it a little ambiguous especially for the visually impaired.
