Loose boards on boardwalk to Portmarnock Beach

Reported in the Road or path defects category by Finbarr Quigley at 17:50, Monday 1 July 2019
Sent to Fingal County Council 5 minutes later

Some of the boards on the boardwalk from the public car park on Golf Links Road have come loose and were a hazard as they were unstable. I tried reporting it on Fix My Street yesterday but it doesn't seem to have registered. I also reported it to the FCC emergency. The boards were back in place this morning but were more unstable than before so a few people moved them to the side to make the area safer. I have attached a picture from yesterday.

  • I noticed that the boards had been moved up to the top of the dunes nearby as if they were being used to make a fire. It also looked like someone had tried to set fire to a board that is still in place as it was charred at one side.

  • Great job done by the FCC workers in fixing this.
