Wrecked lane

Reported in the Road or path defects category by James Clay at 15:54, Mon 25 November 2019
Sent to Donegal County Council 1 minute later

No drainage as the ditches have not been maintained have lead to years of water logging resulting in the road breaking up and potholes everywhere.

  • I was amazed to see the council out 24hrs later filling in the pot holes- some 2 weeks later a tractor ( digger) cleaned back the lane edges. A great improvement but sadly without the road side ditches cleaned and functioning the roads will simply continue to disintegrate-

  • After two visits by the council roads department the issues remain the same. The damage created by digging out the ditches and the scrapping back of the sides of the lane has created yet more flooding and damage to drain covers and private fencing. These issues plus the lane desperately needs resurfacing.
