Sent to Dublin City Council 4 minutes later
There is a gap (gryke) in the road between the 70 bus pull in and the driving lane that could be lethal for a cyclist. The concrete slab has lost contact with the tarmac road. It is about 2 foot long, big enough for a cyclist's wheel to get stuck. If you were thrown off your bike there you would be straight under a bus or car. Can you fill this in? I could not get a photo of it, it is never quiet on that quay.
There are a lot of problems with the surface on that and other stretches of the quays, one wonders if the council just waits until the next major resurfacing? That one struck me as particularly lethal. In general I would say that the surfaces (and markings) for cycling on the South quays is beyond dangerous, it is irresponsible. Still hoping for improvements of course.
Still there, ready and waiting, last time I looked, about a week ago...
