Traffic lights don’t detect cyclists

The shared bus and cycle lane has a traffic light that doesn’t seem to be strong enough to detect a bicycle. Instead I need to wait for a motorcycle/taxi/bus or merge out into the left lane of the normal traffic flow. It’s not ideal and can also be quite tight. Would be great to adjust the sensitivity of this so cyclists are picked up.
