Cyclists using narrow path are endangering residents

There is a need to find a way to stop cyclists using the narrow path in the cottages side of Castleknock village. Every week there is a near miss as people cycle up the path with no attention to the entrances to the cottages. Abuse is being hurled by cyclists and soon there will be an accident as quite a few of the residents are elderly. The paths are even too narrow for some peaks/strollers. Is it possible to put some form of pedestrian only access at either end of where it narrows?
