Reported in the Street Lighting category by Eoin Smullen at 10:00, Thu 11 February 2021
Sent to Galway City Council 5 minutes later
There is a light at the old infirmary buildings opposite the garrison church close to the junction with lakeshore/dun na mara drive.
The light itself has not being working for the past while and as a result has left the area very dark. I use the route regularly walking my dog have noticed a lot of elderly people too coming to and from the garrison church. In fact I’ve noticed a lot more people out walking in the area during the current lockdown
It would be fantastic if the light could be fixed and no doubt would give elderly people more confidence from a safety perspective whilst using the garrison church and for people using the access onto the walkway onto the “line”
Still not fixed per the original report by the chap who reported it. If it had to be turned green for turned green for Instagram it would have been sorted long ago. Sure never mind public safety..
